Here is help for you.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Especially during the warm summer time, when you store fresh fruits and vegetables at home, it can\u00a0 happen that fruit flies populate your kitchen. This simple home remedy can help!<\/p>\n<p>You need:<br \/>\na small glass bowl<br \/>\nvinegar<br \/>\nsome water<br \/>\ndishwashing liquid<br \/>\nsyrup<br \/>\ntransparent film<br \/>\nelastic strap<br \/>\na toothpick<\/p>\n<p>Fill the glass bowl with vinegar about half full, add a teaspoon of water and syrup and add two splashes of dishwashing liquid for the finish. Then place a piece of transparent foil over the bowl and fix it with a rubber band. Use the toothpick to carefully puncture small holes into the foil. Then place the bowl at the place where most fruit flies are.<\/p>\n<p>Good to know:<br \/>\nThe taste of the sweet liquid attracts the fruit flies.\u00a0 They fly through the holes in the transparent film into the bowl, but then they are trapped and can&#8217;t get out anymore.<\/p>\n<p>Since this is cruel way of removing fruit flies, I recommend to you to take precautions before your unwanted guests arrive.<\/p>\n<p>For example do not leave fruits lay around openly. Ripe fruits release a gas that attracts flies.\u00a0 It is also advisable to dispose of compost and waste regularly.
