Face Cleaning with a Konjac Sponge

Are you looking for a simple and natural face cleanser for daily use? Here is something for you!

For years I tried various products and spent a lot of money on them.  Until I came across this fabulous sponge.

You need:
a konjac  sponge
water

A konjac sponge is hard when it is dry. Before use you hold it under the running water steel and let it soak. Then squeeze it lightly before you cleanse your face, neck and décolleté using circular movements. Then wash the sponge, squeeze it out gently and wipe your face again gently. Then let your skin dry. The valuable ingredients of the sponge remain on your skin and are not rubbed off with a towel. Your skin looks fresh.

Good to know:
I personally don’t use make-up, therfore this simple way of cleansing the face with water and  this sponge is sufficient for me.  But I know that it can be combined with cleansing lotion. Just try it.

The sponge has no abrasive effect and removes skin flakes. It is suitable for irritated and hypersensitive skin. It also moisturizes and balances the acidity of the skin.

After use do not press the sponge  too much, in order not to damage ist fine fibre. Let it air dry in a well-ventilated room. Hang it on the thread that most sponges have. When it is dry it shrinks and turns hard. As soon as it comes in contact with water, it becomes soft again.

The sponge has a life span of two to three months. Since it is a natural and pure product, you can dispose it in the compost or in organic waste bins. It is 100% degradable.

This is not a miracle cure, but for me it is a good and cost-effective supplement for facial cleansing.

The konjac sponge is made from the tuber of the Asian plant “Amorphophallus Konjac”.  The tuber contains 100% starch.

This tuber is cultivated as food in Japan and Korea. But there are also wild forms that grow naturally in many parts of China, Korea and Japan. These wild forms typically grow at high altitudes and are therefore particularly pure and free of bad substances. It is known for its health-promoting properties and contains only good stuffs for our skin: water, proteins, carbohydrates, lipids, sodium, potassium, magnesium, iron, phosphorus, copper,  fatty acids, folic acid, zinc and vitamins A, B1, B2, B6, B12, C, E and D. These active ingredients reach your skin via the sponge.  It also has the highest known water-binding capacity of all natural products: it can bind water 50 times of its own mass!

For more than a century the konjac root has been used by the Japanese as a beauty treatment. Initially used for babies, it soon became clear that Konjak sponge is suitable for the whole family.

If you feel unsure or have dermatological problems, ask your doctor before use.
